Custom software for law firms

When off-the-shelf tools don't fit how your firm works, we build what does: integrations between the systems you already use, document automation, data cleanup, and workflow tools, built by a team that works with law firms every day.

Software projects for legal practices

Integrations between legal tools

Connect practice management, document drafting, payments, accounting, and Microsoft 365 so information is entered once and flows where it's needed.

Document automation

Turn your firm's own precedents into templates that fill from client and matter data, with review built in.

Data migration and cleanup

Move client, matter, and intake records between systems, and fix duplicates and gaps along the way.

Workflow automation

Automate the routine handoffs between intake, engagement, and matter work, with your staff in control of each step.

Intake-ready websites

A firm website with structured intake built in. See the website package.

AI tools, carefully

Practical AI for drafting and triage, with client data protected and staff reviewing the results. How we approach AI.

Scoped up front, built in the open

2

A written scope, timeline, and quote, so you know exactly what you're getting before work begins.

3

Build and review

Regular check-ins while we build, with your team testing against real workflows.

4

Handoff and support

Documentation and training at handoff, with ongoing support available if you want it.

Consulting questions

Do I need to be a MatterReady customer?

No. MatterReady Consulting works with any law firm. If you also use the MatterReady platform, projects can build on it, but that isn't required.

How are projects priced?

Each project is scoped and quoted up front after a short discovery conversation, so you know the cost before work starts.

Who owns what you build?

Your firm owns its data and the deliverables built for it. Where a project uses reusable components we maintain, your firm receives a license to use them.

Do you give legal advice?

No. MatterReady Consulting builds software. Decisions about legal requirements, ethics rules, and client obligations stay with your firm's attorneys.
